Nate walked into the lounge. He wanted some time to relax and take it easy. There weren't many people in the lounge today. Nate quickly got a banana smoothie and a plate of nachos before walking over to the couch and flopping down. He grabbed the remote and started flipping through the channels.
Nate nodded in satisfaction when he found a good channel. He set the remote down on the table beside him. He then released Watcher. The Eevee looked around, not knowing what to do. Nate just smiled. He picked Watcher up and set him on his lap. He started stroking his back. Watcher smiled happily.

Zoey entered the lounge with Waffles still clinging onto her leg. There were only a few people around, so that was good. "Come on, Waffles," she giggled. "Don't you want to eat anything? Oh, why don't we play ping pong?"
The Chimchar looked up. "Chimchar!" he said happily, but he still clung on.
Zoey sighed and let Flower out. She liked the little Mudkip. She was calm, yet very fun to watch explore. "Come on, Flower," she said as she took another step toward the ping pong court, but the moment she took the step, Waffles flew off her leg. She spun around to see Flower attacking him. "Flower! No! Stop! Please!" She bit her lip, not sure how to break them apart.

Nate jumped up when he heard commotion. This caused Walker to fall to the floor. <Hey!> the Eevee cried.
Nate frowned. "Sorry, Watcher." He watched the Mudkip and Chimchar fight. He was unsure of what to do. There was only one thing he could think of. "Watcher, Tackle!" he cried. "But be gentle. You just want to break them up."
<Ok,> Watcher said with a nod. He trotted over to the two Pokemon. When he got close enough he rushed towards them with his head down.

Waffles and Flower flew apart from being hit by something brown, furry, and hard. Waffles rubbed his head as he sat up. He sighed with relief when he realized Watcher had saved him. <Thanks a lot!> He glared at Flower. <I'll get you for that!>
<Hey!> Flower shrieked at the Eevee. <I was busy here, and I don't need your help!> She squirted Watcher with a little water before tackling Waffles again, this time he was fighting back.
Zoey sighed when the two broke up. "Thank you so much!" She smiled at the boy. She looked back at her Pokemon. "You two need to get along! We're all going to be living with each other, so fighting's just going to pull us apart and make us frustrated and angry all the time. Is that what you want?" She sweat dropped when they started fighting again. Zoey looked back at Nate. "Now what?"

<No problem,> Watcher said to Waffles. He frowned at Flower. <I wasn't trying to help you. You two need to stop fighting.> He gasped when they started at it again. <Hey! I said stop it!> He growled.
"No problem," Nate said. he frowned when the two Pokemon started fighting again. "Well, you could try returning one of them to their Pokeball." He shrugged.

Zoey hit her head mentally. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. I should have thought of that! She hastily took out Flower's Pokeball. "Flower, return!" She ordered. She sweat dropped when she returned and Waffles collapsed on the ground. "Why don't we go do something without Flower for a while, ok?"
The little Chimchar stood up, posed for fighting. He froze when he realized Flower was no longer there. He brightened up. <Ok!> He looked back at Watcher. <I'm glad that's over! My name's Waffles. What's yours?>

Watcher sighed in relief. <Whew.> He turned to Waffles. <Hi! I'm Watcher.> He swished his tail back and forth. <Do you want to play?>
Nate was glad that the problem was easily resolved. He smiled down at the two Pokemon. A few seconds later he looked back at Zoey. "I'm Nate, by the way," he said. "Nate Kerston."

Zoey smiled cautiously. "I'm Zoey Clowes." She looked down at Watcher and smiled warmly at him. "I love your Eevee. He's so cute! And so unique. Do you know what you want him to evolve into if he does involve?"
<Hello, Watcher!> Chimchar smiled. <Of course I want to play. I love to play!> He began to jump up and down with excitement.

"Nice to meet you," Nate said. He grinned at her comment. "Thanks. Eevee are great. I haven't thought much about what I want him to evolve into. Maybe he'll decide for himself." He shrugged.
<Yay!> Watcher exclaimed. He followed Waffles with his eyes. <Want to play tag?> he suggested.

Waffles leapt at Watcher. <Tag, you're it!> He leapt back and started running away. <I bet you can't catch me!> He teased, laughing happily.
Zoey nodded, smiling at the playful Pokemon. "I just love watching Pokemon running around playfully. Once I saw a whole group of Pichu working together to help a couple Psyduck. People could really learn from them." She wasn't quite talking to Nate. She was saying it more to herself in the distance.

Watcher laughed. <We'll see about that!> He took off running after Waffles. <I've got four feet! Two of yours are hands!>
Nate smiled. "Yeah. That's partly why I want to be a Pokemon breeder. Each Pokemon is so unique and different, but they all have the same basic needs." He watched the Pokemon play. "I wish I knew what they were saying."

Waffles glanced down at his hands and feet. <Actually, I think I have four hands.> He laughed again as he ran around in a circle around a couch in front of a T.V. <Are you getting dizzy?>
Zoey nodded. "That's a good career. I'm not really sure what I want to do. I was thinking about being a Pokemon Healer, but after I came here, I thought it would be better to be a trainer. I love seeing each different Pokemon use its different abilities, and it's so fun to train them by figuring out their strengths. Pokemon are great friends."
She looked back at the two Pokemon and laughed. "Yeah. That would be interesting to know. I can see they're having loads of fun." She sighed. "I wonder what it would be like to be a Pokemon. Being in their world and seeing life from their perspective."

<Nope!> Watcher exclaimed. <Are you?> While running around in circles he tripped over his paws and skidded to a halt. <Ow. I meant to do that.> He stood up and shook his fur. <Ok, I'm good.>
"That's true," Nate said. "My roommate doesn't seem to see it that way." She shook his head. "Yeah, that would be cool. I'm sure they would also want to know what it's like to be us." He smiled. "Who knows, maybe some day science will figure out a way we can switch places, if only temporarily."

<No...> Waffles didn't stop running when Watcher fell; he slammed right into him when he ran a full circle. <Ouch....> Small Watchers ran around the head of the dizzy Chimchar. <Whoops.> That was all he could manage to get out.
Zoey narrowed her eyes in thought. She couldn't imagine someone not wanting to be friends with their Pokemon. Yeah, that would be great to switch places temporarily. "Fascinating idea," she mused. Her eyes sparkled with concern when Watcher tripped, but she relaxed when he got right back up. It was when the two playful Pokemon collided she gasped. She ran over to help them up, her eyes filled with concern for them. "Are you two ok?" Waffles seemed out of it.

<Hey!> Watcher cried. He tried to stand up but fell over again. He looked up at Zoey. <I'm just peachy.>
Nate looked a little amused. "It looks like some Pokemon are clumsy. They just need some training. or perhaps this room is just too cramped. Maybe we should go outside." He walked over to the Eevee and Chimchar. He frowned slightly. He wished he knew more about Pokemon breeding. "I think they'll be fine. They just need to rest for a bit."
