Name: Catherine Angel Kelly
Gender: Female
Age: 14
Appearance: Catherine is a small girl, measuring in at exactly five feet, and weighing an undefined (but nevertheless low) amount. Her dark blue-ish hair is carefully tied into a small ponytail held together by a little pink ribbon. Her big blue eyes highlight her small face, which tend to dart to the sides when people talk to her (she’s not a big fan of eye contact).
Her usual outfit consists of a black blouse with a small white shirt underneath (adorned by an adorable red ribbon) and a dark blue skirt, wearing a formal-ish outfit very similar to her brother’s. Her slender legs are covered by black stockings, and the brown shoes that protects her feet make dull clopping noises when she walks.
Dorm Wanted: Whichever one. 100, I suppose.
Classes Wanted: Pokemon Basics, Pokemon History, Pokemon Anatomy, Pokemon Psychology, and Healing and Potions
Personality: Catherine is a very quiet, reserved girl. She often has little to say, and gets her points made in a succinct (but detailed) manner. She won’t initiate conversation, but she’ll speak if spoken to (she’ll even raise her very low voice when asked politely), however, her speech is littered with um’s, uh’s, and er’s, even amongst close friends. The exception to this is with her brother, Matthew, and Pokémon. In fact, for the most part, Catherine feels much, much more comfortable with Pokémon than with people.
Usually, one of the first thing people notice with her is her extreme politeness carried mostly in her shyness. Even in the most casual, friendly situations, Catherine maintains an aura of polite grace. Her tone of voice seldom runs into the sarcastic, and she tries her hardest not to ruin the harmony of a conversation by hurting anyone's feelings. Her politeness is even more evident in the dinner table, until it's time to eat (despite her small size, her appetite is extremely, extremely enormous).
Despite how reserved (and sometimes cold to the more upbeat people) she may seem, Catherine is a very caring and happy friend, always willing to help out with anything she might be needed for, especially if someone is in distress. In fact, she’s more than willing to risk her life to help someone in trouble.

History: Born in Ecruteak City to strict parents who despised the (“impractical, vagrant”) art of Pokemon Training, Catherine and her older brother Matthew were raised with the strict mentality that becoming a Pokemon Trainer was a very bad thing. For years, the children were chastised just for even seeing a Poke Ball. Catherine, being the quiet, reserved person she is, complied without so much as a peep even though her desire to live with Pokemon was huge. Matthew, on the other hand, was a bit more open and rebellious, often bringing back Pokemon home (which his parents would then release).
Matthew has always been a big inspiration (and protection) to Catherine. She admires her older brother a lot, and always wished she had the courage to be like her brother, and play with Pokemon.
Eventually, one night she finally got the courage to sneak out of the house at night, and went to the nearby woods by Route 37 by herself. She saw many nocturnal Pokemon, mostly Hoothoots and sleeping bugs, (and despite her fear of insects) she was fascinated. Well, at least until she stumbled across a pack of angry Stantlers. The angry Pokemon chased after the girl, who was running faster than she had ever ran before, leading the stampeding pack into the city, making a mess out of everything.
Catherine’s parents were livid, and proceeded to discipline the girl (via smacks to the face). With burning tears in her eyes, Catherine went to go see her brother for comfort, and was surprised to see him packing a suitcase. Matthew told Catherine that he found a pamphlet about a Pokemon Academy far from here: Cherrilli Academy. Before Catherine asked (or begged, depending on who’s telling the story) to come along. Matthew simply let out a chuckle followed by a couple fateful words.
“Hurry up and pack. We’ll make it to Olivine before dawn, the boat will take us to a better place. But seriously, hurry up, or they’ll pin the stampeded on us.”
And this is probably where you’d see the oh-so-cliché “and the rest is history…” but it really hasn’t happened yet, so suck it, history.
Secret Word: Cakes of fruit, because cake is good, and fruit is good, but fruitcake is meeeeeh.
