Saki replaced the strap of her weapon case at her shoulder as she was passing by in the hallway towards the principal's office. She had been in this school for a week, though she didn't know if she should get a Pokemon or not. She can't be able to see what that Pokemon is, and would probably be really bad at battling because she probably wouldn't know what the foe Pokemon's type is, Saki has to beat all of the eight gym leaders to get out of this school..
'Then how will I get out of here?' She thought to herself with a sigh, ignoring the stranger-student that was blabbering to her about her lovely boyfriend and how handsome and he is as the blabbering student was guiding her to the office. While in her thoughts of confusion, she remember what her father told her when she asked how she'd get of the school if she had to beat all of those leaders.
"Don't worry, with the power of friendship you'll be able to race ahead of everyone else." Saki wasn't very sure on what he mean't, so she let that saying stay in her head until she does get it.
"Well, we're here!" The guide student faced her to the door with a giggle before leaving her. Saki turned her head; (though the wrong way,) and waved a goodbye. She stayed in that spot for a minute, charging up all of her confidence before knocking on the door.

Vice Principal Turner sat in the desk of Principal Sash, casually flipping through a magazine. Because Sash was running some errands, he was responsible for taking care of any kind of business that would result in someone coming to her office. At this time of year, only troublemakers were sent to the office, though occasionally new students came. The office was once again neat, clean, and orderly, so he was relaxing, enjoying his finished work.
His Lairon Spike poked his nose at his leg until he looked down. He blinked; an envelope was in his mouth. Spike released it once Turner brought his hand down below it. Slobber nearly coated the entire envelope; therefore, he could not read who it was addressed to or who had sent it, but he found the letter inside safe and intact. Once he opened it, he saw that it was for him. However, before he could read any more, a knock came from the door.
Turner frowned and folded the letter back up in the three-fold. His eyes narrowed as he took in the student he revealed when he opened the door. At first glance, she seemed rather odd, as she was carrying a weapon. He didn't think they allowed weapons, but this was Sash he was talking about. She would allow anything. "What are you here for?" he asked rather coldly. "Detention? You're not here as a new student getting your first Pokemon, are you?" He looked at her coolly, daring her to respond in the affirmative.

Saki opened the door, walked through and closed the door behind her. Saki could tell that he was wondering why she had her weapon in a case, so she'd began to explain. "Is there a problem that I take sword-fighting classes? And yes, I'm here for my Pokemon" She crossed her arms with a pout of annoyance.
'I can tell that this person is the stern type..'
"Its not like I'm going to chop off your head, I'm not that dangerous" Saki grinned childishly, wondering if he was scared of her.

Turner raised his eyebrows slightly at the girl. He had never experienced this kind of behavior or reaction before. Sword-fighting classes... He would have to talk to Sash about that. He wasn't scared. He just thought it was troublesome behavior. Back to the more important matters, she was here for her first Pokemon, just what he dreaded. Well, he didn't dread it exactly. He just found the whole process extremely annoying and bothersome when class was already in session. It meant he had to dig up more paperwork that he had already thought he was finished with when the first day of school came.
"Very well," he said curtly before turning back to the desk. He had given the letter to Spike when he had gotten up to open the door, and he hoped he would keep it dry. The papers necessary for the new student were neatly sorted into one of the drawers. Turner found them easily, thanks to his organization, and walked back to the girl. "Here. Fill out this personality test." He stuck the paper out at her, his tone and expression still unwelcoming.
Spike held the letter carefully in his mouth as he curiously watched the new student. He walked closer to her, wondering about her sword. <Hello> he mumbled around the letter.

"You know, it'd be pretty nice if you were welcoming, you know' because thats what principals do?" Saki took hold of the papers, rubbing her thumb over the first page of the paper; she'd stutter in an awkward matter.
"Uhm.. Is there a Braille version or recorded version of this? I kind of have a disability with my sight.."
"Or if you don't have any other version of the papers, you could just speak it out to me." Saki shrugged her shoulders awkwardly. She slowly placed the papers onto a flat surface, probably a table or something of the sort.

Turner raised his eyebrows at the student's comment. She dared to say that to him? "I'll leave that to Principal Sash. As far as I'm concerned, she is welcoming enough for the both of us." He blinked at what she said next. She was blind? He had not taken much time to take her in fully, so he had not noticed. Now, he could see that she was indeed blind. He frowned. That was just great. How could she become a Pokemon trainer? This meant a lot more paperwork and hassle for him. He would have to talk to her teachers beforehand so that they would be able to accommodate her, such as making Braille version tests.
Letting out an exasperated sigh, he picked up the personality test. He had cleaned and organized Sash's office at least a thousand times. They did not have a single Braille version anything; they had never encountered something like this before. "I will read 25 statements, and you will tell me how true each is. A is very true, B is true, C is somewhat true, D is untrue, E is very untrue." Without pausing to make sure she understood, he did not want to waste time, he continued on to state one statement at a time.

Saki didn't really mind with what Pokemon she'd be getting, she didn't really need to be picky about whatever Pokemon she'd be getting. Feeling a little bad to make the principal do all the work, she spoke up. "Sorry I have to put you into all of this work, but my father sent me here to learn what Pokemon really were about and to make some friends. If there is any way I can help or pay you, I wouldn't mind doing so." She frowned slightly as she fumbled around with her two thumbs.
"They are pretty true - though I am pretty active by using machines to exercise." Saki scratched the back of her head sheepishly, not wanting people to think that she is lazy or un-active.

Turner looked at the student when he had finished reading the statements. He sighed again. Her comment was not very helpful; he needed letters. Letters... That reminded him of the mysterious letter he had received. What was it and who was it from? He couldn't read it, unfortunately, until this girl got her Pokemon and left him in peace. Even after that, if the letter necessitated a response, he would likely be unable to do so until he finished all of this new paperwork and talking with teachers. Thinking about it irked him very much. "I will read them again, and you will tell me which letter fits best with each," he said, his tone unchanged from previously. "Or, you can just say if it is very true, true, somewhat true, untrue, or very untrue." Again, he read each statement. 1. You enjoy taking walks. 2. You have an easy-going personality. 3. You enjoy swimming. 4. You enjoy taking hikes in the woods. 5. You love to explore. 6. You have a bit of a temper. 7. You love joking around and/or playing pranks. 8. You are always looking for fun things to do. 9. You tend to be hyper and/or have a lot of energy. 10. You can be pretty stubborn. 11. You are very confident and determined. 12. You don't mind hot weather. 13. You love snow. 14. You need time to be alone. 15. You are a deep thinker. 16. You are a doer. 17. You are always looking for puzzles to solve. 18. You love nature. 19. You are loud and boisterous. 20. You are nice to everyone, even those who aren't nice to you. 21. You get along with everyone. 22. You keep to yourself. 23. You look out for only number 1. 24. You think life's boring. 25. You are intelligent.

"Alright," Saki nodded her head to show her understanding. She listened well and spoke out her own answers with truth.

Vice Principal Turner marked the correct letter beside each statement as the student said them. When they were finally done, he promptly stood up and walked to the back of the room where the Pokemon were kept. He stopped there and looked through the statements and letters again. He found it odd how it seemed easier to come up with the right Pokemon from going through each one with the girl.
Shrugging it off because he had no interest in reflecting on that (he just wanted to get this whole process over with so he could get back to his neat and clean office), he brought his attention back to the Pokeballs. He chose three, placed the personality test on the desk, and walked back to the girl. "Choose one of these three Pokemon," he said as he let them all out. Not wanting to go through that whole blind thing again, he added, "Your choices are Machop, Ponyta, and Snubbull. Don't take too long." He watched her with a stern expression, hoping she wouldn't ask him what any of them were.
Spike smiled at the three Pokemon. <Hi!> He looked at Saki, and frowned in thought. Did she know what those Pokemon were or even what types? He looked back at the Pokemon. <Hey, she's blind, so she can't see you. Maybe you could get closer, so she can touch you? It could increase the likelihood of you being chosen!> He finished with an encouraging grin. He hoped this would help.
The three Pokemon walked closer to Saki and looked up at her, each being between two to three feet tall. They all greeted her in their own unique Pokemon tongue, wishing they would be given a home.

Saki brought out her two hands, ready for any of the three Pokemon to come up to her. It was going to be hard to choose a Pokemon for her, but she knew that any of these three Pokemon could help her on the journey just fine.
She felt a muzzle brush against her fingertips; the Pontya. Smiling from the affection of the horse-like Pokemon, she slowly placed her right hand onto its head, then slide it down the mane and to the back. Her father once had a rapidash - an after-evolution of Ponyta - and rode it around Johto when he once was a trainer. So knowing that this would be a well compatible companion to help her around on her journey, she knew that this would be the destined Pokemon for her. The Ponyta doesn't seem like a snappy one considering how it is enjoying the affection.
"This is the one" Saki smiled as she ran her hand down the mane of the starter, getting familiar with the size and shape of it.

Turner nodded curtly when the girl chose her Pokemon. He put the other two Pokemon back into their Pokeballs and walked back to the storage area. After returning the Pokeballs, he found a backpack and walked up to the student again. "Here is the Ponyta's Pokeball and a starter pack. It has everything you need for now." He placed the two items into her hands. "Now, leave." He hoped she would leave quickly. Spike came to stand beside him, and he knew he still held the letter in his mouth. He wanted to know what it was, but he knew he wouldn't have much time with it because he now had so much more work to do. At the end of all that work, more cleaning and organizing was sure to be necessary. He enjoyed tidying up, but sometimes he wished it would just stay tidy for a little longer. Plus, it irked him how just one little student could mess his whole system up in just a short amount of time. "Thank you" Saki heard the backpack ruffle, this made her able to know where it was. Nodding her head with a faint smile, she gently took the backpack and pulled her arms through the straps so it could rest on her back. When he said to leave in an urgent matter, She could tell that he wanted to be alone. Being polite to the Principal, she turned on her heels and walked out the door with her first Pokemon. "hey, you wouldn't mind leading me towards the dorms would you?" The ponyta nodded her head and leaded the way, excited for its new and difficult journey with the needy girl. [finish] PonytaName: Blaze Gender: Female Level: 5 Attacks: Growl, Tackle, Tail Whip Nature: Relaxed Abilities: Run Away, Flash Fire Blaze is a very relaxed Pokemon, not usually angered by others and will take insults without going into a tantrum. She likes having a challenge, that is why she wanted to be Saki's companion - wanting to lead her the way to success. [/left]
